- Funny-the first few posts had to slam the Tea Party yet there was no mention of them in the article. Still bothered by a group that wants lower taxes, controlled government spending and a balanced budget? If they can't be a target, make one up-seems to work for both parties.

- As one of the fortunate ones, I had put enough money away to retire at 62. I wasn't really ready emotionally to retire but couldn't see myself increasing my workload past what it was already. 11-12 hour days, no breaks, working weekends on short-no notice and no pay increases.

- To answer Stoney and Bob, I didn't say anything about Obama not serving in the military. Feeling guilty for not serving your country? Don't take it out on those of us who did. Throwing stones at Bush doesn't solve any of the problems we have.

- You're right-Obama isn't the only one that didn't serve in the military.Clinton(DEM),FDR(DEM), Hoover(REP), Coolidge(REP), Harding(REP), W.Wilson(DEM), Taft(REP), G.Cleveland(DEM), Van Buren(DEM),John Q Adams(both) and John Adams(FED) are the others. How's that for a list. Evan Carter served.

- I retired from the military in 1995. I payed for medical and dental when I retired. A Democrat was President. What was that you were saying? When Bush was President, it was his fault. While Obama is President, it's the Republican Congress's fault.

- Maybe a different way to look at this. Fuel exports are up and now lead the pack on our countrys exports. Could be that exports on everything else are down because of tariff differences and not because we actually export that much more fuel products. Yea!!

- Where's Woodward and Bernstein when you need them? The media pursued Nixon over Watergate like dogs on a dead cat. Why are they NOT pursuing Obama over Fast and Furious? I don't want to hear he wasn't involved-Nixon didn't set up and break in to the Watergate hotel.

- Things could be worse-we could be living the life style that our citizens were living in the early 1900s. I was hoping for the hope and change gig to be a positive direction but under this administration? IMO he is the most divisive, racist president we've had in our lifetime.
